Microsoft Teams Login Loop (Web Client): How to Fix it
Microsoft Teams login loop can happen if your browser settings are not configured properly.
If you’re stuck in a login loop when trying to sign into the Microsoft Teams web client, there are a few things you can try to get signed in.
- Make sure that your browser is set to allow cookies from six Microsoft sites. (Listed below).
- If you’re still having trouble, try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies. You can follow instructions in this article (How to clear cookies for one website Chrome) to delete cookies on specific sites. If that doesn’t help, then contact your IT administrator or Microsoft support.

Microsoft Teams login loop chrome fix
If you’re experiencing a Teams login loop in Chrome, you need to check your Google Chrome settings.
Open a New Tab in your Google Chrome browser and then type the following local chrome URLs. (Tip: you can go directly to step 3: “chrome://settings/cookies“)
- “chrome://settings” – Chrome Settings
- “chrome://settings/privacy” – Privacy and Security
- “chrome://settings/cookies” – Cookies and other site data
- Scroll down to Customized behaviours and add your Trusted Sites
- On the Chrome Settings window, on the Privacy and security tab, select Cookies and other site data.
- Under Sites that can always use cookies,
- select Add, and
- then select the Including third-party cookies on this site checkbox.
- Add these sites:
- [*.]microsoft.com
- [*.]microsoftonline.com
- [*.]teams.skype.com
- [*.]teams.microsoft.com
- [*.]sfbassets.com
- [*.]skypeforbusiness.com
Microsoft Teams web client stuck in a login loop – Microsoft Edge Fix
Open a New Tab in your Microsoft Edge browser and then type the following local Edge URLs. (Tip: you can go directly to step 3: “edge://settings/content/cookies“)
- “edge://settings/profiles” – Your profile
- “edge://settings/content” – Cookies and data stored
- “edge://settings/content/cookies” – Manage and delete cookies and site data (Cookies and data stored / Cookies and site data)
- While in the Edge Settings window, Click Cookies and site permissions > Cookies and data stored > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Turn on Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended),
- Either ensure that Block third-party cookies is turned off.
- Or, if you have to keep third-party cookies blocked, do this instead in the same window: Under Allow, select Add to add the following sites, with “Include third-party cookies on this site” checkbox ticked.:

- [*.]teams.skype.com
- [*.]teams.microsoft.com
- [*.]sfbassets.com

Open a New Tab in your Mozilla Firefox browser and then type the following local Firefox URLs. (Tip: you can go directly to step 2: “about:preferences#privacy“) and then scroll down.
- “about:preferences” – Firefox Settings
- “about:preferences#privacy” – Privacy & Security Tab
NEXT
- Scroll down to “Cookies and Site Data“
- select “Manage Exceptions“
- While in the Firefox Settings window, Click the Privacy & Security tab.
- Under Cookies and Site Data, select Manage Exceptions.
- In the Address of website text box, enter the following URLs, and then select Allow.
- https://microsoft.com
- https://microsoftonline.com
- https://teams.skype.com
- https://teams.microsoft.com
- https://sfbassets.com
- https://skypeforbusiness.com
- Select Save Changes.
Microsoft Teams login loop Safari
Please Note: MS Teams support for Safari is currently in preview.
Update the following setting, and then try to access the MS Teams web client:
- Select Preferences > Privacy.
- Clear the Prevent cross-site tracking checkbox.
- Close Safari, reopen the browser, and then navigate to teams.microsoft.com.
